Requirements
-The successful candidate must have the following minimum qualifications, work experience and attributes:
- Masters degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field;
- Ten (10) years of managerial experience, five (5) of which should be at Senior Management level in a relevant area.
- Holder of CPA (K) or equivalent;
- Advanced knowledge of financial laws and procedures as well as practices in Human Resource, Administration, Supply Chain Management and Information Technology;
- A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills which support and enable sound decision making
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

Duties and Responsibilities
-The Deputy Director of Finance and Administration will be a strategic thought-partner, and report to the Institute Director. The successful candidate will be a hands-on and participative manager and will lead and develop an internal team to support the following areas: finance, business planning and budgeting, human resources, administration, Supply Chain Management and Information Technology.

- Key Responsibilities for this role will include:
- Providing strategic leadership and direction for the Finance and Administration unit;
- Directing the development of the unit’s short-term, medium-term and long-term goals and objectives through an integrated performance management system;
- Designing and developing initiatives to address emerging developments and technologies in the unit;
- Developing and ensuring that appropriate control systems, policies and procedures are in place for the unit;
- Analyzing and presenting financial reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Overseeing and leading annual budgeting and planning process; administering and reviewing all financial plans and budgets; monitoring progress and changes and keeping senior leadership team abreast of the Institute’s financial status.
- Updating and implementing all necessary business policies and practices;
- Overseeing administrative functions as well as facilities to ensure efficient and consistent operations of the Institute.
