Requirements
-The candidate must have:-
-
- 1. A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Transport Management or its equivalent from an accredited institution;
- OR
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences with a Post-graduate diploma in Logistics and Transport Management
- 2. A minimum of six (6) years post-qualification relevant working experience in reputable organizations, three (3) years of which must be in a senior position in the public service or private sector;
- 3. Knowledge in basic mechanics is desirable;
- 4. Computer literacy and knowledge of use of transport management systems; and
- 5. Membership to a professional body will be an added advantage
Duties and Responsibilities
-The Transport
-Fleet Manager will report to the Director, Human Resource Management. Key Duties & Responsibilities: • Assist in designing operational policies and standards, including determination of safety procedures for the management of the Judiciary vehicles;
- • Ensure effective management and coordination Judiciary drivers and vehicles ;
- • Plan, organize and manage the work of drivers to ensure that work is accomplished in a manner consistent with the Judiciary requirements;
- • Recommend to the Judiciary improvement in its transport management;
- • Promote observance of safety regulations by conducting safety audits;
- • Supervise the inspection of vehicles for evidence of abuse, damage, or mechanical malfunction;
- • Recommend vehicle purchase
-acquisition and disposal;
- • Provide inputs for the preparation of annual budget and plans;
- • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director, Human Resource and Administration.
