- The successful candidate will: * 1. Possess a Masters degree in Human Resource Management | |
-Industrial Relations, Business Administration (Human Resource Management) or equivalent;* 2. Possess a Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences or equivalent;* 3. Have at least 10 years experience in leading the Human Resource function in a large and reputable organization;* In addition, applicants for the positions under Human Resource and Administration must; 1. Be a member of relevant professional body; 2. Be a team player; 3. Possess strong organizational and analytical skills; 4. Be self motivated, capable of working under pressure with minimal supervision; 5. Possess excellent management , communication and interpersonal skills; 6. Be computer literate and familiar with standard office computer applications. | |
Duties and Responsibilities | |
- This is a senior management position whose holder will be required to:- 1. Be the overall in-charge of the Human resource function; 2. Develop effective Human Resource procedures; 3. Coordinate activities leading to the division's targets in as indicated in the Annual Performance Contract, Strategic Plan, Judiciary Transformation Framework and other reform programmes that Judiciary may participate in; 5. Oversee the annual staff performance target setting and appraisal as part of the reward management system; 6. Prepare annual division budget; 7. Ensure the implementation of human resource strategies in line with the integrated comprehensive strategic framework; 8. Coordinate the planning, organization and direction of human resource functions in the organization; 9. Facilitate the dissemination of policies, regulations and other communications from the Headquarters to the Region; 10. Analyze the staffing levels in the organization and make proposals for succession planning; 11. Analyze the utilization and proper deployment of human resource in Judiciary; 12. Analyze staff progression and make proposals for career development; 13. Supervise, guide, counsel, mentor, train and develop staff working under him-her; 14. Propose policy changes in all areas of human resource in the organization; 15. Coordinate activities of human resource management consultants that may be contracted from time to time. | |

- Overall purpose of the job Reporting to the Director, Human Resource & Administration, the Deputy Director will provide leadership in the Human Resource Division in the Judiciary. Specifically, the incumbent will co-ordinate all Human Resource activities at the Headquarters and oversee Human Resource activities in the regions. | |
