Requirements
-For appointment to this position, an applicant must be in possession of the following qualifications: -
- 1. Hold a degree in Law, Management, Administration or other Social Sciences, from a university recognized in Kenya.
- 2. Have a least ten (10) years proven experience at management level.
- 3. Meets the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya on leadership and integrity.
- Note: Holder of Law Degree
-Advocate’s experience may have been gained in Kenya or in any other country with a Common Law jurisdiction
Duties and Responsibilities
-The Secretary of the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal shall be responsible for:
- i. Coordinate and manage the day to day affairs of the Tribunal
- ii. Drive the Tribunal's vision through the implementation of its Programmes and plans
- iii. Mobilize and manage the resources of the tribunal to achieve its core mandate.
- iv. Prepare the Tribunal's annual plans and estimates.
- v. Oversee financial and administrative management of the Tribunal.
- vi. Ensure financial reporting and accountability in accordance with the law, Government of Kenya procedures and guidelines of the Judiciary.
- vii. Provide requisite leadership to ensure the Tribunal attains a high level of competitiveness and ethical standards in its entire programmes.

- (c) Applicant’s recent coloured passport size photographs
- (d) Declaration of income and liabilities as at the time of making the application, using the prescribed forms “The Declaration of Income, Assets and Liabilities Form JSC 2b” which can be downloaded from the JSC website www.jsc.go.ke (Downloads).
- (e) Certified copies of testimonials, professional certificates and academic transcripts
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit copies of clearance certificates from the following bodies:
- • Kenya Revenue Authority,
- • Higher Education Loans Board,
- • Law Society of Kenya (where necessary),
- • Directorate of Criminal Investigation,
- • Advocates Complaints Commission (where necessary),
- • Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission and
- • a recognized Credit Reference Bureau.
- Applicants are also required to forward one (1) hard copy of the completed Employment Application Form JSC 2 for non –public officers and JSC 2A for Public officers which can be downloaded from www.jsc.go.ke (Downloads) and attach all the documents cited in the item No. (1 a to e) above.
