Requirements |
-For appointment to the position of member of the Tribunal, an applicant must be in possession of the qualifications provided under the section 35 & 36 of the Nairobi International Financial Centre Act, 2017. |
-
a) Bachelor’s degree in relevant field |
-
b) Seven (7) years’ experience in the financial services sector |
-
c) Be a member of a relevant professional body in good standing; |
-
d) Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on leadership and integrity. |

Duties and Responsibilities |
-A member of a tribunal shall discharge the following duties: - |
-
a) Participate in hearing and determination of all disputes which come before the full bench;’ |
-
b) Recording proceedings in a clear and accurate manner; |
-
c) Approving, sign, issue and certify orders, decrees and certificates of costs and copies of proceedings; |
-
d) Writing awards, judgments, orders, rulings and decrees issued by the Tribunal; |
-
e) Support implementation of the Tribunals’ plans and programmes to achieve the Tribunals vision and mission. |
-
f) Provide requisite professional and technical support to ensure the Tribunal attains a high level of competitiveness and ethical standards in its entire programmes. |

g) Undertaking any other duty assigned for the benefit of the Tribunal |

(g) Applicant’s one (1) recent coloured passport size photographs |

(h) Shortlisted candidates shall be required to produce originals of their National Identity Card, academic and professional certificates and transcripts during interviews |

Successful candidates will be required to submit valid copies of clearance certificates from the following bodies on Appointment: - |

• Kenya Revenue Authority |
-
• Higher Education Loans Board |
-
• Directorate of Criminal Investigation |
-
• Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission |
-
• A recognized Credit Reference Bureau; and |
-
• Clearance from relevant professional body. |
-
