Requirements
- 1. Have a Masters degree in Business Administration (Finance or Strategic Management) or a Masters degree in a Finance
-Accounting
-Economics or related discipline from a recognized University
-Institution;
2. Have at least 9 years experience leading a finance function in a busy organization; 3. Be a CPA (Kenya) or equivalent
4. Be registered with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and Registration of Accountants Board (RAB);
5. Be proficient in computer applications with strong emphasis on data and financial management software
Duties and Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Regional Resident Judge (and functionally to the Director, Finance) the incumbent will provide leadership in Finance, Planning and Accounting in a smaller region.
The Principal Accountant will co-ordinate a number of sections in the Finance, Planning, and Accounting Sections at the Regional Headquarters and will be the overall in-charge of the decentralized Finance, Planning, and Accounting functions in the Counties and Court Stations in the Region. Duties and responsibilities will depend on the area of deployment and will be similar to those of the Assistant Director of Finance for a smaller region.

9. Have the ability to work under minimal supervision;
10. Have clear understanding of the role of Judiciary in realizing the demands of the Constitution, Vision 2030 goals and other policy documents of the Judiciary;
11. Be a person of high integrity and ethical conduct;
12. Have strong leadership skills.
Possession of managerial skills in planning, budgeting and project management will be desirable for all these positions.
