Requirements
-Qualifications and Experience The candidate must have:-
- i. A degree in either Building Economics or Building Management. The candidate must be registered as a Quantity Surveyor with a relevant professional body.
- ii. Minimum of 5 years’ post registration experience.
- iii. A Masters degree in Building Economics, or Building Management, Procurement or Supply Chains Management, Business Management or Project Management will be an added advantage.
- iv. Experience in coordinating the work Quantity Surveying, preparation of cost estimates, tender documents, valuation certificates of new buildings and rehabilitation
-maintenance construction contracts works, and supervising personnel responsible for such work, including private consultants.
- v. Good communication and computer technical skills (these would include, MS Word, , Excel, MS Project etc.).
- vi. Good personality and high integrity.

Duties and Responsibilities
-The Quantity Surveyor will assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor in the following tasks;
- i. Assist in management of the Section, ensuring all staff carry out their work efficiently, including ensuring that proper contracts and tendering procedures are followed within judiciary.
- ii. Preparation of cost analysis and estimates of proposed new and rehabilitation
-maintenance constructions.
- iii. Preparation of tender documents (including Bills of Quantities), valuation of construction works and advising on contractual matters.
- iv. Maintaining a register of contractors and consultants, including their qualifications and profiles.
- v. Maintaining files for construction and consultant contracts.
- vi. Supervise the work of staff in the Quantity Surveying Section, including private consultants engaged by the Directorate.
