Requirements
-The candidate must have:-
- i. A degree in one of the following; Land Economics, or other related course. The candidate must be registered as a Valuer or a Lands and Estates Manager with a relevant professional body.
- ii. Minimum of 10 years’ experience post registration.
- iii. A Masters degree in Land Economics, Economics, Business Administration, Business Management or Project Management will be an added advantage.
- iv. Experience in coordinating the work of a Real Property Valuations and Estate Management, condition surveys of buildings, and supervising personnel responsible for such work, including private consultants.
- v. Proven track record in dealing with Building Projects, Property Management and other support services with capacity to handle the procurement process from advertising to contract deliverables.
- vi. Good communication and computer technical skills (these would include, MS Word, Excel, MS Project etc.).
- vii. Good personality and high integrity.

Duties and Responsibilities
-The Senior Valuer will be the head of Estates Management Section and will be responsible to the Chief Architect.
- Key Duties & Responsibilities: i. Overall management of the Section, ensuring all staff carry out their work efficiently.
- ii. Carrying out property valuations and maintaining an assets register, including liaising with Finance Directorate for up-dating and maintenance of such an Assets Register.
- iii. Acquiring sites that meet the requirements of the Judiciary, including ensuring proper ownership documents, acquiring rights of occupation and confirmation of available land, status of existing ground features, existing buildings, and location of existing services.
- iv. Preparing condition surveys of all Judiciary’s buildings and associated facilities to enable the Directorate affect required repairs and maintenance works
- v. Sourcing, negotiating and managing rented
-leased accommodation.
- vi. Recommending disposal, destruction or change of use of any Judiciary Buildings.
- vii. Recommending allocations of available office accommodation.
- viii. Ensuring adequacy of power, water and sewerage services.
