- The candidate must have:-
- i. A degree in Architecture, must be registered as an Architect with a relevant professional body
- ii. Must have a minimum of 15 years post registration management experience and 10 years as Project Manager of major building works
- iii. Good communication and computer technical skills (these include AutoCAD, Arch CAD, MS Word, Excel, MS Project etc.)
- iv. A Master’s degree in Architecture, Business Administration, Project Management or such other management qualification will be an added advantage.
- v. Experience as a Manager in a similar position in Donor funded projects or an International Organizations will be an added advantage.
- vi. Good personality and high integrity.
Duties and Responsibilities
- The Chief Architect will be the Head of the Directorate and will report to the Chief Registrar.
- Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- i. To help design, supervise and manage court construction and renovation program and oversee repairs and maintenance of the Judiciary buildings
- ii. Overall management of the Directorate, to ensure all staff carries out their work efficiently, including direction of the technical and administrative activities related to the implementation of development and maintenance of buildings and all associated infrastructure such as boundaries, roads, and services.
- iii. Preparation of Annual Building Works Programs
-Budget and the Directorate’s Annual Development and Recurrent Estimates.
- iv. Formulation of policies affecting the Directorate and promulgation and administration of such policies when approved.
- v. Career planning, development and promotion of personnel in the Directorate.
