Requirements
- Be a citizen of The Republic of Kenya.
- Hold a degree in Law, Management, Administration or other Social Sciences, from a university recognized in Kenya.
- Have a leastten (10) years proven experience at mangement level.
- Meets the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coodinate and manage the day o day affairs of the Tribunal
- Drive the Tribunal's vision through the implementation of its Programmes and plans.
- Mobilize and manage the resources of the tribunal to acheive its core mandate.
- Prepare the Tribunal's annual plans and estimates.
- Oversee financial and administrative management of the Tribunal.
- Ensure financial reporting and accountabiliy in accordance with the law, GoK procedures and guidelines of the Judiciary.
- Provide requisite leadership to ensure the Tribunal attains a high level of competitiveness and ethical standards in its entire programmes.
Important Information
- The poiltical parties Tribunal is established under the Political Parties Act, No. 11 of 2011 and its jurisdiction is to determine; disputes between members of a political party; disputes between a member of a political party and a political party; disputes between political parties; disputes between an independent candidate and a political party; disputes between coalition partners; and appeals from decisions of the Registar under the Political Parties Act 2012.
- Pusuant to section 39 (2)(b) and 43 of the Political Parties Act, 2011 No. 11 of 2011, the Judicial Service commission of Kenya invites applications from qualified persons for the position as advertised.
- The Judicial Service Commission is mandated to appoint the Secretary and such other staff of the Tribunal necessary for the proper functioning of the Tribunal. The secretary shall ensure effective and efficient operations of the Tribunal and be accountable to the members of the Tribunal in developing and implementing plans, activities , policies, decisions, programmes and accountability mechanism
