-For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have: -
- i. A Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree from a recognized University.
- ii. A Post graduate Diploma in Law.
- iii. A Senior Management Course or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- iv. Membership to a professional body
- v. Proficiency in Computer applications. Experience Ten (10) years post admission working experience
Duties and Responsibilities
-i. Ensuring proper mechanisms are put in place to aid in execution of court orders including ensuring that decrees are issued in a timely manner;
- ii. Supervising and coordinating of all registry functions which involve filing cases, court fees assessment, record management, customer service, preparing the cause list and ensuring statutory time lines are met;
- iii. Ensuring proper mechanisms are put in place for safe custody and service of various court documents;
- iv. Formulating systems to ensure access to Judgments of the Court;
- v. Carrying out research on various legal issues that may be affecting the administration of justice and spearheading the formulation of various documents that assist in enhancing access to justice for instance practice directions and bench books;
- vi. Formulating of strategic worth plans for various Courts development and implementation of Court expansion plans;
- vii. Ensuring that Courts are implementing the vision of the Judicial leadership and various policies developed by the Judicial Service Commission and ensuring court targets are met;
- viii. Preparing proposals and reports on administrative issues to enhance efficiency and improve performance;
- ix. Planning, preparing Court work plans, monitoring implementation of budgets, identifying infrastructure needs and consolidation of funding;
- x. Facilitating day to day administration and management issues through monitoring and implementing of the Performance Management Measurement Understanding (PMMU); and
- xi. Identifying staffing needs, staff deployments and carrying out Training Needs Analysis.

- (f) Five (5) sample writings of any professional writings, including but not limited to judgements, advocacy submissions in courts, scholarly writings or any legal publications that the applicant has authored;
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit valid copies of clearance certificates from the following bodies during the interview: -
- • Kenya Revenue Authority
- • Higher Education Loans Board
- • Directorate of Criminal Investigation
- • Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
- • A recognized Credit Reference Bureau; and
- • Clearance from relevant professional body.
