- The candidate must have:-
- i. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education minimum mean grade C- (minus) with at least C (plain) in English Language;
- ii. The following secretarial qualifications awarded by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC):
- • Typewriting II (minimum 40 wpm) or Computerized Document Processing II
- • Business English I or Communications I
- • Commerce I
- • Office Practice I
- iii. A certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution ; and
- iv. Relevant working experience will be an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
- The Secretarial Assistant II will report to the Head of Station where posted.
- Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- i. Typing from manuscripts; processing data; operating office equipments; ensuring security of office equipments, documents and records;
- ii. Attending to visitors or clients; handling telephone calls and appointments; and
- iii. Undertaking other secretarial duties that may be assigned.
- iv. The successful candidate may be required to work for more than one officer or deployed in a typing pool.
