Requirements
-• Bachelors degree in Information Science, Library Science, Library Studies or other related field;
• Five (5) years experience in a high demand, customer service-oriented library;
• Demonstrated outstanding professional competence in management of library services;
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; and
• Sound planning and organizational skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
-• Developing and reviewing the library and resource center’s policies, regulations and procedures;
• Implementing and maintaining the use of new and emerging technologies relevant to resource centers and library systems;
• Implementing and managing the Schools e-learning
-distance learning program;
• Acting as the liaison between the School, National Council for Law Reporting and other key stakeholders to facilitate resource sharing;
• Liaising with the Communications and Publications Officer to ensure dissemination of relevant documents to key stakeholders; and
• Managing the day-to-day functions of the library and resource center including acquisition, cataloging and maintenance of resources.
Important Information
-Reporting to the Deputy Director, Legal Research and Policy, this position is responsible for managing the School’s resource center and library system and ensuring effective and timely service, and access to quality and relevant legal and judicial resources.
