Requirements
-• Masters degree in Law or other related field;
• Five (5) years experience in complex policy analysis, research projects and initiatives in the legal field;
• Proficiency in advanced computer analysis, report preparation, presentations and internet search programs and tools;
• Knowledge of and experience using research and analysis tools such as SPSS; and
• Strong written and oral communication skills; and
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
-• Developing policies by contributing to policies related to the judicial process and judicial administration;
• Analyzing new laws, policies, and court rules on their potential or real impact on the Judiciary in general and the courts in particular;
• Developing long term and short term policy advisory plans and protocols;
• Identifying policy research areas and emerging issues in jurisprudence and developing and implementing tools and processes to ensure high quality policy advisory which meet international standards of excellence; and
• Developing, reviewing and editing policy papers and manuscripts to be published.
Important Information
-Reporting to the Deputy Director, Legal Research and Policy, this position is responsible for providing direction in policy review and development to support the judicial process and judicial administration.
