Requirements
-For appointment to this position a candidate must have:-
i) A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent from a recognized institution with four (4) years relevant experience.
OR
ii) A diploma in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or Audio-Visual Engineering from a recognized institution with six (6) years relevant experience.

Working experience in a Cisco environment shall be an advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities
-OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB

Reporting to Assistant Director, Networks, the incumbent will manage the Data Center as well as provide technical support of the LAN and WAN systems of the Judiciary.

The main duties for Network and Data Centre Administrator will be to:-
a) Manage and support the Judiciary’s Network Infrastructure and Services like LAN
- WAN, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, IPS
-IDS, VLANs, MPLS, VPN, Proxy, NAT, NTP, DNS, IPSEC, Access List, etc. Network Infrastructure & Services will include Data, Voice and Video.
b) Work as part of Data Centre Management & Support Team providing 24-hour management & operational support;
c) Ensure delivery of quality services in regards to network availability, controls and performance;
d) Be responsible for uptime of network infrastructure and services and Service Level Agreement (SLA) management;
e) Participate in planning, designing and execution processes for networking;
f) Be responsible for the network and security infrastructure – upkeep, operations, maintenance, security upgrade, and disaster recovery as per the Judiciary’s policies, processes and approved designs;
g) Ensure backup of configurations, network applications and databases as per policies and procedures.
