Requirements
- The successful candidate will have:
1. A Masters degree in Human Resource Management
- Industrial Relations or Business Administration (Human Resource Management) or equivalent from a recognized University
- Institution;
2. Have at least 9 Years experience in Human Resource management 5 of which should be as the head of Human Resource in a large and reputable organization;
In addition, applicants for the positions under Human Resource and Administration must;
1. Be a member of relevant professional body;
2. Be a team player;
3. Possess strong organizational and analytical skills;
4. Be self motivated, capable of working under pressure with minimal supervision;
5. Possess excellent management , communication and interpersonal skills;
6. Be computer literate and familiar with standard office computer applications.
Duties and Responsibilities
- The incumbent will be required to:-
1. Manage and develop staff recruitment processes by ensuring that all aspects of job description, persons specification as well as selection criteria is accurately prepared;
2. Manage and develop the recruitment and staff mobility team;
3. Develop and implement a career progression policy;
4. Manage succession planning;
5. Review policy and schemes associated with recruitment;
6. Maintain staff retirement projections and labour turnover trends;
7. Keep up to date with employment laws related to recruitment and advise management;
8.Monitor Human Resource Planning interventions including staff transfers, placement, deployments and promotions;
9. Keep records of his
-her endeavors in order to ensure that equal employment opportunities are provided.
Important Information
-Overall purpose of the job
Reporting to the to the Deputy Director, Human Resource & Administration the incumbent will provide leadership in the areas of recruitment, staff mobility, employee development, employee rewards and compensation and well as employee welfare.
The Assistant Director will be responsible for attracting and hiring quality employees, staff training, development and performance management in order to ensure that employee training and development needs are identified and addressed appropriately, and manage the general coordination of staff compensation, rewards, welfare and industrial relations in the Judiciary.
