Requirements
-For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have: -
- i. A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution;
- ii. Registered as an Engineer by Engineers Board of Kenya or any other recognized professional body;
- iii. A Senior Management Course or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
- iv. Proficiency in computer application skills;
- v. Demonstrated professional competence in work performance and results; and
- vi. Met the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.

Duties and Responsibilities
-i. Coordinating Designing and installation of mechanical equipment;
- ii. Ensuring maintenance machines and plants;
- iii. Assisting drafters in development of structural designs;
- iv. Overseeing installation operation and repairs to ensure that machines are functioning to specifications;
- v. Ensuring safety of machines;
- vi. Coordinating preparation of specifications for mechanical materials and equipment; and
- vii. Ensuring compliance with the regulations and guidelines for mechanical works.

- • Kenya Revenue Authority
- • Higher Education Loans Board
- • Directorate of Criminal Investigation
- • Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
- • A recognized Credit Reference Bureau;and
- • Clearance from relevant professional body.
