Requirements
-For appointment to this position, the applicant must have: -
- i. A Bachelors Degree in either Communications Studies, Mass Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, Corporate Communications, or any equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya;
- ii. A relevant Diploma from a recognised institution will be an added advantage;
- iii. Be a member of a relevant professional body in good standing; and
- iv. Must meet the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution.
- Work Experience:
- i. Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience
- ii. At least three (3) years at Senior Management level;
- iii. A Masters Degree in either Communications Studies, Mass Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, Corporate Communications, or any equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya ( is an added advantage).

Duties and Responsibilities
-Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- (i) Identifying and packaging Commission’s events for dissemination to the media and public;
- (ii) Manage corporate publications, articles and newsletters;
- (iii) Review the Corporate Communication strategy to align with emerging issues and trends;
- (iv) Draft speeches for commission functions;
- (v) Manage media relations and press releases including talk shows;
- (vi) Initiate public forums for propagation and promotion of commission policies, programs and projects;
- (vii) Collect information on Commission programmes, activities, significant events and disseminate the same to media and public;
- (viii) Coordinate corporate branding including website management;
- (ix) Develop appropriate strategies to address possible negative publicity against the Commission;
- (x) Providing clients and stakeholders with information about the commission’s activities through brochures, flyers and website updates including customer satisfactions surveys;
- (xi) Develop and nurture relations with diverse publics.
